Safe Driver of the Year Award |

Mr. Steve Thompson has been awarded the Safe Driver of the Year Award by the Dakota Transit Association (DTA). DTA is a coalition of public agencies and private organizations that promote and support public and special passenger transportation programs within North and South Dakota. Mr. Thompson received this award at the annual meeting held in September in Fargo, North Dakota. The Safe Driver of the Year Award is presented to the driver with the safest driving record among all the fixed-route drivers in both states measured in length of time without a preventable accident.
Steve Thompson has been a driver with Sioux Falls Transit since September 1978 (31+ years). In that time, he has never had an accident while driving a bus. Sioux Falls Transit is very proud of Mr. Thompson, and of all our fixed-route and paratransit drivers for their outstanding safety record and dedication to serving the public in Sioux Falls. |
