| Sioux Area Metro (SAM), the City’s public transit system, will be offering the Dog Days of Summer Bus Pass Program for high school and middle school-aged kids.
When they sign up for the program, they receive a SAM dog tag on a chain to use as their pass to get on the bus during summer vacation. The dog tag provides unlimited rides for the student for the three months of summer vacation for just $25.
As a bonus to this program, several businesses have agreed to provide discounts to the students if they show their dog tag at time of purchase. Participating businesses include 24/7 Fitness Club, Bagel Boy, Taco John’s, Juice Stop, Thunder Road, and the Washington Pavilion.
Dog tag passes are only sold at:
- All local High schools
- Lewis Drug Stores
- Guest Services counter at The Empire Mall
- The Bus Stop Downtown
- Transit Facility at Sixth Street and Weber Avenue.
